Root Treatments

rootScreen Shot 2015-07-23 at 15.50.01Root canal treatment is carried out when the nerve (dental pulp) of a tooth has become damaged and/or infected by dental decay, trauma, tooth wear or a crack in the tooth. The damaged nerve tissues are removed painlessly and the inside of the tooth prepared very carefully to receive the root filling material. Over recent years, the use of an operating microscope and other highly specialised pieces of equipment has become routine in specialist endodontics.

Once a root filling has been successfully completed, the tooth can be restored and brought into function and given a good appearance, with various type of restoration (as above).
